- The Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) has extended the eviction and foreclosure moratorium on properties with Enterprise-backed mortgages until at least June 30. See the links immediately below to check if your property has one of these mortgages.
- Under the CARES Act, renters living in a property with an Enterprise-backed mortgage are covered by a temporary eviction moratorium. Landlords with Enterprise-backed mortgages can enter forbearance if their tenants cannot pay rent due to COVID-19 loss of income. Check to see if your property is backed by Fannie Mae, or Freddie Mac.

Maryland Information
- NEW: Baltimore City enacted additional tenant protections regarding late fees. Please go here to access the legislation that was signed by the Mayor.

- NEW: Prince George’s County passed legislation giving tenants additional protections against eviction and illegal lockouts. Please go here to read the legislation.
- Montgomery County will begin accepting applications to its Microenterprise Stabilization Program (MSP) beginning Wednesday, June 10. Applications will be accepted through Tuesday, June 16. This program is for businesses that have five or fewer employees.
- Montgomery County will be accepting rental assistance applications from June 1 to June 5. Please see the website for information, and how to apply.
- The eviction and foreclosure moratorium that was included under the Federal CARES Act expires July the 25th. Please see this link for more information.
- Prince George’s County has allocated funding for emergency rental assistance. Please check the website for eligibility, and to apply.
